The chart

This dinosaur reward chart is a one-page PDF that gives you a full week of motivation. It has 5 goal rows, 7 days, and a sticker box for each day. There is a line at the top for your child's name and a line at the bottom for the reward they are working toward.

The art is our own, so their are no licensed characters to clash with your child's favorite dinosaur. It works for any fan of the giant lizards. You get a color version and an ink saving black outline version, in both letter and A4 sizes.

Print it at 100 percent, not fit to page. The boxes are sized for a 1.5 inch round sticker or a 1/2 inch star sticker, so a footprint sticker fits right in.

There is a longer guide on this: Reward chart not working? Eight fixes in order.

Goals that fit the theme

For a child who will do anything for a stegosaurus, write the goals as a mission. Use words like roar, stomp, and rescue. This makes a plain chore feel like a dinosaur quest.

Pick 3 to 5 goals for the week. Too many goals can make the chart feel heavy. Start with a few and add more later.

  1. Roar through brushing teeth without a fuss
  2. Stomp to bed by 7:30 without hiding
  3. Rescue all toys from the floor before dinner
  4. Chomp through homework or reading time
  5. Guard the table by eating one vegetable
  6. Charge through getting dressed in the morning

Rewards in the same theme

You do not need to buy dinosaur merchandise to make the reward feel special. A themed reward can be a simple activity you do together.

Pick one reward for the end of the week. Write it on the reward line so your child knows what the roars are for.

  1. Read a dinosaur story at bedtime
  2. Play a stomping game in the yard
  3. Wear a dinosaur costume for one evening
  4. Choose the dinosaur theme song for dinner music
  5. Cut a sandwich into a dino shape with a cookie cutter
  6. Build a volcano out of playdough and erupt it

Matching name stickers

The sign-up builder makes a sticker sheet, a star chart, and a chore chart with your child's name in this dinosaur theme. The name prints right on the labels, so you do not have to write it by hand.

This is handy if you want the whole set to match. The sticker sheet uses the same footprint design as the chart.

You can also browse other themed charts like space, princess, or unicorn rainbow. The sticker chart and star chart pages have more details on how the builder works.
